Exhibition runs through November 4, 2016
“Young Woman, Welcome to the Holocene” is the debut solo show of American artist April Zhu in Nairobi, featuring works on canvas and poetry.
Opening night is Friday, 21 October at 7pm. The Exhibition will be on the Ground Floor of The Shifteye Gallery at The Priory Place.
April Zhu was born in West Virginia, USA. She received her BA in Environmental Studies and Studio Art from Wellesley College in 2014, where she has previously exhibited in group shows Half Artist and Object and Image (2013) and independently Kinyago (2014). She lives and works in Nairobi, Kenya.
This month’s experience packs a triple threat of talent as we feature two of Kenya’s extremely talented singers and songwriters: Sage and Harry Kimani and Art exhibition will be by, Ugandan sketch artist Franco Mpagi to give you a memorable night.
Our evening of tastes will feature rich South African Wines which shall be on sale by the glass and by the bottle accompanied by tasty treats and bitings.
The date for this is 9th September at the Shifteye Gallery, on the ground floor of Priory Place on Argwings Kodhek Road in Hurlingham.
