World Premier: Elements [Franco – Kenyan Play], Oct. 18-19 2013 @ Alliance

Author of ‘Role Play’, ‘Minister, karibu!’ and ‘Meetings’, John Sibi-Okumu, returns with the monologue ‘Elements’. This new play is the result of direct collaboration between this accomplished actor, writer, journalist and television presenter, and Nathalie Vairac, French actress.

A writer is preparing a speech in response to an invitation to participate in the celebration of her work in a foreign country. As with every artist, in her effort to explain the creative process, she has to dig deep into her own life experience. Who will be able to tell with certainty, just by looking at her, where she is from? Appearances are often deceptive…

Nathalie draws on a multi-cultural heritage, with influences from Europe, the Caribbean, India and Africa, for her performances on stage.

This Franco-Kenyan production is directed by John Sibi-Okumu, and performed by Nathalie Vairac.
