Floored by the demise of the decrepit psychiatrist that guided them, the eight participants of a therapy group – each affected by a different ailment – look for a substitute.
Having verified the inadequacy of the alternative, all except one decide to continue the experience and manage themselves. The idea reveals itself not to be easy, so much so that after the first few meetings the group decides to separate. The suicide of the person who had abandoned the analysis will make them meet again and convince them to spend a week-end together: finding intimacy again will produce unexpected hopeful results contributing towards a change for many of them.
