The Malian master of the Desert Blues & son of the legendary Ali Farka Touré will be on Alliance Française stage for the opening of the 2013 cultural season!

Lauded as the Jimi Hendrix of the Sahara, Vieux Farka Touré has a reputation for original guitar melodies and deft live performance. & with his 2010 World Cup performance before a billion people in Johannesburg, South Africa, Vieux Farka Touré has become one of the most celebrated African guitarists in history.

The artist is on an African tour of 17 countries (from West Africa through to Central Africa, East Africa and the Indian Oean) sponsored by Institut Français, the French international agency for cultural cooperation.
