Soul Fire strikes again with another mash up for the people! 20th of August at The Alchemist Bar. It’s a musical journey through the work of Michael Jackson, Lauryn Hill, Shabba Ranks and the sounds from their genres.
DISCO BOUTIQ is a new series of events that will mainly focus on promoting a wide variety of old and new African Dance Music through Live and DJ Acts. Our events aim to feature Artists and Music that we rarely get a chance to hear and see.
is the brainchild of Angolan/ Portuguese Pedro Coquenão. A distinctly modern and vibrant project with its feet firmly rooted in the past, Batida combine samples from old 1970s Angolan tracks with modern electronic dance music. Music is the starting point but through dance, poetry, photography and video, Batida expands, taking in politics and social commentary but always bringing the party.
is one of Nairobi’s sought after eclectic DJs who’s well-known for his wide array of African Music selection.
is a band that plays a fresh new form of Kenyan Dance Music created by one of Kenya’s newest innovative producer, Alai K, an artist recognized for his Hip Hop and Afro Fusion projects, will take you back to Kenya’s street disco-esque ways.

This promises to be an unforgettable evening of food, drinks, music and dancing in aid of Xavier Project**, a charity providing educational opportunities to refugees in Kenya and Uganda.
** Xavier Project operates in Kenya and Uganda providing educational opportunities to refugees of all ages. These could be through sponsoring refugee children to attend school or teaching vocational courses to refugee adults at our learning hubs across Nairobi and Kampala.

Kaya Kenya’s monthly carnival of live music, DJs and visuals is back after a successful collaboration with Bad Mambo Productions last month for Rub-A-Dub Therapy.
This month’s edition coincides with the opening of Ada Collective Studios and features; the Kaya Collective’s very own live funk band, Octave Band, Normadz, Cosmic Analogue Ensemble, DJs Jonah and Lasta with MC Blaka Blaka.
