Finnish rapper Signmark (aka Marko Vuoriheimo) was born deaf into a world where music is for the hearing. He pursued his childhood dream and became the first deaf rapper in the world to get a record deal. In Nairobi he’ll be performing with a famous Swedish rapper Adam Tensta. Signmark has performed in over 40 countries so far. With his music and his positive attitude the artist has promoted the rights of the disabled people in Finland and around the world.

Signmark is also a special representative of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland for promoting the rights of people with disability. Signmark states that the deaf should not be treated as disabled but as a language minority, who have their own culture and history.
