The documentary focuses on the personal life and family of Malala Yousafzai, shot and left wounded for speaking for girls’ education in Pakistan. As a powerful and inspiring figure for girls’ education worldwide and an Internally Displaced Person as well, Malala’s story has been included into FilmAid’s existing Girls First Programme in Kakuma and Dadaab refugee camps as an integral piece to the importance of girls’ mentorship amongst the refugee population and marginalised communities
