A new modern dance class is being held every Monday from 6:30-8:00pm at Destiny Dance Studio, directly behind Yaya Centre.  All are welcomed.  Attire sheould be comfortable and flexible, like what one might where to the gym, with barefeet, old socks, jazz/ballet shoes, or something of the like…

All of the proceeds will go towards the dance studio to help develop their space and offer more professional dance classes to aspiring Kenyan dancers.

The classes are held by Elana Aquino – for more info 0720 351178

Update: Elana is no longer based in Kenya – please do not contact her any further for dance classes in Nairobi.

Entry filed under: classes.

Hi Jamie, Thanks for getting in touch. Denise is right, there’s lots more dance at Destiny Dance studio like salsa, jazz, and tango, but be sure to call them to make sure they know you’re coming in advance (Nikki: 0721.659.365).

Other teachers who can tell you where to find good african and jazz dance classes are Michael (0723.262.968) and Mark (0734.984.082). For ballet, try Miriam at the Nat’l Thtre (0723.268.156). Good luck and be sure to tell them Elana sent you. 🙂

    Hi,

I think this might be a stretch but I knew a girl called Elana in New Haven, CT and I’m wondering if it might be the same person coz she also did dance and stuff although I can’t see her coming all the way to Kenya maybe its just over-expectation on my part. If it isn’t never mind just curious.

Its really good to know that there are dance classes happening in Nairobi. I’ve been a Shiamak Davar Dance student in Mumbai for the past 4 years. I might come to Nairobi for some time to work, I would love to join the dance class there. What is the criteria to enroll?

I am an adult dance beginner and have just started on contempoary. Its very hard to find a contempoary class especially if you want to do it part time. I have private lessons which makes it damn expensive. However there are may dance groups that train during the day, most of them at Kenya National Theatre and GoDown. If your student schedule can allow you may just get a class. Try KPAG http://www.kenyaarts.com/. I have other names if you want to go that way.

This would confuse your doctor who may think that maybe you have Wilson’s disease (a copper build-up problem) that turns the whites of eyes yellow. Stomach upset is another side effect that can be caused by taking a turmeric supplement. Check out the site, UC Davis Alzheimer’s Disease Center.

You can apply a thin layer of the oil as you go about your day.
If you want to avoid beauty products with
    harsh chemicals, petroleum-based components, and
artificial ingredients then an all natural virgin coconut oil product is perfect for you.
Using your preferred cleanser clean your skin thoroughly.

The skin is the largest organ of the human body and it has the ability to absorb the nutrients contained
within almond oil just by rubbing it onto your skin. The oil is chock full of nutrients
which help overall health, in addition to that of the hair.

If you are suffering from thin and brittle hair,
almond oil can make your hair grow thicker and stronger over time
    as well.

Although decorative concrete maintenance is minimal there are
a few measures that need to be taken periodically to ensure that your concrete patio, walkway, driveway or pool deck
will last a lifetime. The actual garden hose supplied with the actual swimming pool clean includes a
amount of twenty five toes, so that you far better buy one more
size if you believe the space needed to be protected in the wall
fitting along with other elements of the swimming pool is higher than
twenty five ft. That does and can work for a platform like Hulu or Netflix,
which is a TV VOD system.
