Location: The Embassy of Spain, 3rd Floor of the CBA building in Upperhill.
Days: On the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month as described above.

Photo Exhibition: Flamenco Faces, Oct. 9-Nov. 9 2012 @ National Museum


Opening: October 9, 2012
Venue: Small Temporary Exhibition Hall, National Museums of Kenya, Nairobi
Time: 6.30 pm

During the opening, there will be a small taste of flamenco fusion dance and have the presence of the artist.

Exhibition Dates: October 10-November 9, 2012

Throughout the exhibition, there will be screening of two films on the world of flamenco on;
Dates: October 18, 2012 “Alma Gitana” (Gipsy Soul) and October 25, 2012 “La Leyenda del Tiempo” (The Legend of Time).

The films will be screened continuously throughout the two days in the “Ford Hall” at the Museum.

Cartooon Exhibition: Comic 10+10, Nov. 24 2011 @ National Museum


The Embassy of Spain is happy to invite you to the opening of COMIC 10+10, a unique cartoon exhibition by young Spanish and Kenyan artists.

Date: November 24, 2011
Time: 7:00pm
Venue: Ecology Gallery, Nairobi National Museum, Museum Hill
Entrance: Free

This showcase will explore different aspects of this expression form, both as an art for and a universal means of social communication. This exhibition will present the awarded works of the 10 ‘Injuve’ Youth Comic Prizes in Spain, together with the cartoons of other 10 upcoming Kenyan artists with the participation of renowned cartoonists like Gaddo and Maddo, Álvaro Ortiz (2003 Injuve Award in Spain) and the artists from Shujaaz.fm, in the opening ceremony we will announce the winners of the ‘Spain for the arts’ Awards, an innovative contest for young Kenyan cartoonists.
