Taste of Kisumu is a 3 day Festival that will be dated April 6th- April 8th (Easter). They will feature Local Food Specialties. Aluru /Quail, Aliya /Dry cured fish, Fried fish, Peanut sauce, Omena, Nyama Choma and Local Folk Music.
There is a specialized Kids zone.
Other activities: An uga…li eating contest, A gunia race, The taste of Kisumu Awards and a shopping Zone and Craft Fair.

The KENYA LIVE boat is sailing on. Next stop – Kisumu City! For all residents of Kisumu and its neighbourhood, beware! The lakeside city is set to be drowned – not by the waters of Lake Victoria, but by the KENYA LIVE wave which is sweeping over the country!
If you are 18 years and above, Kisumu Polytechnic is the place to be on Saturday, 12th February where there’ll be action galore! KENYA LIVE artistes – who rank among Kenya’s finest – will be performing LIVE on stage. These will include Ekko Dydda, Jua Cali, Nameless, Osogo Winyo, Redsan, Wahu and Wyre. Nyanza’s own hottest rising stars: Migwel & Jay Too, Nahna, Nebulazz and Zealous, will also be on stage and show the world Nyanza has got talent! The show will also be graced by two guest artistes who shone during the Mombasa concert: Tierra G and Rude Boyz.
This is a MUST ATTEND concert; it’s a choreographed production where the artistes have invested a lot of time to train and rehearse; you are guaranteed of a lifetime experience. Remember this will be a LIVE concert: the artistes will be performing LIVE on stage, backed by a full LIVE bands: The Altimate Band and Juma Tutu’s Band – no CD playbacks and no lip syncing! It’ll be the REAL thing!
The gates will be thrown open at 5:30 pm and by 6:00 pm it will be all systems go with lots of fun, games and competitions with chances to win great prizes. And then it’s the LIVE concert at 7.30pm with stage action till midnight, after which DJ John & DJ Hassan will take over and ensure the thrill reels on till dawn.
