Kijani Kenya Music Festival, Feb 26th- Mar 8th 2009, in Nairobi & Mombasa
This year’s festival will be held from the 26th of February to the 8th of March.
The venues will be The Arboretum, by kind permission of FONA, The racecourse, by kind permission of the Jockey Club and at Fort Jesus in Mombasa.
Friday 27th, February, 6:30 p.m. @ The Arboretum, Nairobi
Mozart’s The Magic Flute performed by Operaplayhouse
Pamina and Tamino triumph in this most joyous of operas. The young lovers give up their freedom for love’s sake, discovering a still greater freedom. The Opera enchants both the novice and the sophisticate.
Adults: 5,000/- and 3,000/-. Children 500/-
Saturday 28th, February, 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. @ Ngong Racecourse, Nairobi
Musical Medley of Great Hits
Celebrating musical diversity, a fabulous blend of styles and character: brass bands, jazz, pop, fusion & gospel. Performed by popular Kenyan and international artists including Eric Wainaina, the London Adventist Chorale, Suzzana Owiyo & others.

Great Classics Concert
Classical music from diverse genres performed with consummate style. A breathtaking performance by the members of the London Adventist Chorale, Guildhall Strings, Operaplayhouse soloists & Kenyan singers conducted & accompanied by Lesley-Ann Sammons.
