Exhibition: “Our Bodies, Our Stories” with Xavier Verhoest, Oct 1-30 2011 @ Nairobi National Museum

Our bodies tell our stories – Opening Sat 1st, 3-6pm
Since 2005, the German Development Cooperation through GIZ, Art2Be (a group of Kenyan and international psychologists and artists) and TICAH (Trust for Indigenous Culture and Health) work together on innovative approaches of self-expression that improve communication in HIV-affected families and improve resilience and acceptance. Body Map involves painting a life-size representation of one’s body onto canvas and using pictures, symbols and words to represent the path that one has taken through life.
This exhibition brings together a selection of Body Maps made by Kenyans.
All of the paintings in this exhibition are self portraits telling each Kenyan’s story about happiness, rights, health, illness, stigma and strength as they journey through their life in the age of HIV/AIDS.

The internet is the handiest source for finding Chanel purses.
The Chanel cruise handbag line includes
two north/south totes which are embellished with
tassels. This type of crime is not taken lightly by law
enforcement. And this effort is visible when the final product
comes in the hands of the customer. http://www.abakera.
