A Day with Dekha – fundraiser and commemoration, Sep 10 2011 @ Karura Forest
September 6, 2011 at 12:32 pm ugomatic
Next Saturday there are a series of events to commemorate Dekha Ibhrahim Abdi. She was an accomplished peacemaker tragically killed about a month ago in a car accident along with her husband, leaving behind 4 kids.
First a sponsored walk to raise some funds for education for Dekha Ibrahim Abdi’s kids.
Come walk in Karura Forest and plant/buy a tree for planting in an area we have cleared as a peace corner in commemoration not just to her, but to all those who work for a peaceful stable society in Kenya. Come add your energy and good wishes to this lovely spot.
Bring lots of others with you, and please pass on to anyone interested. And ask to get in touch on email@example.com
to book a place and reserve a tree (prices on the poster below). You can also pay for any and all of this by Mpesa to the Friends of Dekha account number: 0713723991
