Kibera Good Governance Festival, Jun 1 2010 @ DC's Ground in Makina

A new event is being born on Madaraka Day 1st June. Just outside Kibera on the DC’s Ground in Makina Kibera Good Governance Festival will be held starting with local artists performing from 12 noon. Well known names such as Juliani, Abbi, Mzungu Kichaa from Dar es Salaam and Denmark based Kenyan VQEE who just launched her debut album will entertain.
Free entrance will ensure a big crowd throughout the day where short speeches in the slots between the bands will inform about the proposed constitution. Both the current and the proposed constitution will be available also free of charge.
A local CBO, Kibera Community Development Agenda (http://www.kcoda.org), are organizing the event while neither musicians nor Event Sound & Entertainment who supplies stage, PA and instruments are charging any fee. The Royal Danish Embassy is supporting the event.
