Call for entries: Workshop on Film Critique, October 23rd-29th 2008 @ Goethe-Institut

The Goethe-Institut Nairobi welcomes applications to a film critique workshop within the framework of the 3rd KIFF (Kenya International Film Festival) 2008.
Only practising film critics and journalists writing about film need apply.
The workshop will concentrate on the art of film reviewing.
Sessions will be held at 10.00 am – 12.00 noon from Thursday 23rd October to Wednesday 29th October inclusive – except for Sunday 26th October 2008.
Sessions will be led by Philip Kemp, film historian and critic. Philip Kemp is a freelance film historian and critic who contributes regularly to Sight & Sound International Film Guide, Total Film and DVD Review. He teaches Film Journalism at Leicester University, and has written the standard account of the cinema of Alexander Mackendrick.

Please contact the Goethe-Institut for an application form, and submit it not later than Friday 17th October 2008
