MONTH OF PHOTOGRAPHY
11 June – 4 July at Alliance Française
For the 3rd year running, Alliance Française celebrates June as the month of photography. This year, a collective of Kenyan photographers from diverse backgrounds, together with the Kenyan Professional Photographer’ Association, join hands with Alliance Française to create opportunities for photographic workshops and exchanges.
The highlights of June are a photographic exhibition ‘One Journey, One Culture’, photos by professional French photographers from Nikon France; a workshop by the French photographer Gerard Planchenault on lighting and exposure, and a debate on ‘Photography in Kenya: redefining the profession.
In July, an exhibition by Kenyan photographers on the theme ‘Light and Shade’ is scheduled. Interested photographers are invited to submit 5 original photos on CD, black and white or colour, and drop of their entry, with duly completed entry form, at Alliance Française by 6th June.

Hi, I am a freelance photographer and I think its a great thing you are doing.I really wanted to showcase my work but i didnt know about the ‘one journey one culture ‘exhbition until last minute.Please if you dont mind,let me know of upcomming exhibitions in good time so that i can prepare.Looking forward to hearing from you.Thank you!!!!
