“3Generations 3Styles” exhibit, June 14th-July 7th @ GoDown

June 9, 2008

3Generations 3Styles – an exhibition of paintings by:
Meek Gichugu, Emily Odongo, Willie Wamuti

At the GoDown Arts Centre
Opening on June 14th 2008 at 2pm. The exhibition will run until July 7th

Meek Gichugu’s paintings present a search for happiness, a garden of pleasure where people who are in it can have a good time. His precise feature suggests an imaginary world influenced by the African symbolic. Through her abstract expressions, Emily tackles varied themes using crisp colours, while Wamuti, who is relatively new in the local art scene, portrays predominantly rural daily life with a warm colour pallet.
