In recent years, German architecture developed trend-setting positions for the design and shaping of modern life. However, at an international level, the innovative achievementsand the quality of contemporary architecture in Germany are little known. The exhibition called Made In Germany – Architecture + Ecology , is the first of two exhibitions of architecture in Germany, which we will also mount in Nairobi. Construction requires energy, resources and nature. For a long time now, architects in Germany have developed solutions for environmentally friendly modes of construction. They make use of new solar technologies, the conversion of light into electrical energy (photovoltaics), insulation and sealing methods, heat recovery and optimal daylight use. The exhibition presents nine exemplary construction projects, ranging from private houses to factories and train stations.

In cooperation with Department of Architecture and Building Science/University of Nairobi
